Fashion, art and the wonder of life

Marina Botier was born in Moscow but has since then explored the world and its many aspects. As a child, she moved around regularly and has lived in many metropolitan cities. Ever since her childhood, she has expressed a profound interest in fashion, art and most importantly the wonder of life. She has always been fascinated by meeting different people and their surrounding energies. Marina had discovered early on that she has a knack to attract people and their admiration. Born in a family of surgeons and caregivers, she has seen the importance of being kind and supportive. Her environment has always been motivating and energizing.

After a successful graduation from high school, Marina decided to continue her education at the University of Boston. Here, deciding to step into her parents' footsteps, she studied Chemistry and Biology in which she excelled. She graduated summa cum laude and pursued a career in physiotherapy. She quickly emerged as a force in the field and treated everyone from children, to athletes and the elderly. Marina held her own practice for over 15 years.

Following this career and wanting a new challenge, Marina had decided to follow her real passion. She went into the fashion business which proved a bigger challenge than expected. To be able to fully immerse herself in this industry, Marina decided to open a fashion agency. This marks the beginning of SONOHO which has now developed into one of Europe's leading agencies.

The first project Marina worked on with SONOHO was overseeing the global activities of SAND CPH. Here she was able to get introduced to the industry and work with its leaders. This has also lead to her being able to work with world renowned brands such as Giuseppe Zanotti, Herve Leger, Oscar de la Renta, Badgley Mischka and Givenchy for example. She has built a strong relationship with each company.

Now SONOHO is so much more than an agency. Marina successfully navigated her way through this industry and has developed SONOHO greatly. Today the company offers consulting services and furthermore excels in the connection between people and product.

Upon seeing the result of the possibilities of the agency, Marina decided once again to challenge herself. This time by putting herself at the other end of the fashion spectrum. She longed to create something which would cause a lasting effect on the world and the fashion industry. In 2014, BOTIER was introduced. This is truly Marina's brainchild and result of her years of hard work and research of the fashion industry. BOTIER is a fine jewellery line made iconic by Marina's ability to create fine but lasting designs. The jewellery has proven to be timeless and are being sold around the globe.

Now, Marina is focused on continuing on this path of growth.
